Tatiana Berenova
Born in Gorky, Russia, Ms. Berenova had a very interesting and successful career as an international Ballerina. After graduation from the Moscow Bolshoi Ballet Academy, the official school of the world-renowned Bolshoi Ballet, she joined the National Academic Bolshoi Ballet Theater of The Republic of Belarus where she was promote to principal and attained the rank of Prima Ballerina. She also held the position of Prima Ballerina at the Moscow Renaissance Ballet. She appeared as a guest artist with the Mariinksy Theater, the Bolshoi Theater, the National Ballet of Denver, the Philadelphia Ballet, the Moscow Imperial Ballet and many other Russian and American Ballet theaters and companies extensively throughout Europe, Asia, South and North America.
In reference to Ms. Berenova’s performing career, her repertoire includes all the leading roles in 52 great full-length ballets and contemporary works from renowned choreographers as follows: Swan Lake ( Odette/Odille) Le Corsaire (Medora, Gulnare) , Don Quixote ( Kitri ,Queen of dryads ) ,Giselle (Giselle, Myrtha),The Sleeping Beauty (Princess Aurora), Fountain of the Bakchisarai (Zarema), The Nutcracker (Marie & Sugarplum Fairy), and the title roles of Paquita, Cinderella, Raymonda, Firebird, Carmen, Esmeralda in ballets of the same name. She has also performed in Leaves are Fading , Les Sylfides , Moor's Pavane, Concerto Barocco, Grand Pas Classique, and Pas de Quatre (Taglioni)and many more .
In 1995, Ms. Berenova was awarded the Grand First Prize and Gold Medal at the Third International Ballet Competition in Luxembourg. 1996 Victory prize in the "Successful Professional of the Year" Cosmopolitan Magazine/Moscow.
Ms. Berenova has toured around the globe, as Guest Star has been invited to participate in numerous worldwide Festivals and Ballet Galas including "Gala des Etoiles" (Gala of the Stars ) Luxembourg, "A Night of Stars" US , Opera and Ballet Festival " Pushkinskaya Autumn" Russia, " Gala di Balletto " Italy, "Nureyev Ballet Festival " Russia, series of Gala perform in Paris, Moscow and in St. Petersburg with Ballet legend Maya Plisetskaya, Patric Dupond , Evelyn Hart, Alexei Ratmancky. During her professional career, Ms. Berenova has had the privilege of being coached by and having the majority of repertoire created by great masters of Russian Ballet, including Raisa Struchkova, Nokolai Fadeyechev, Nina Osipyan, Irina Kolpakova, and Michael Lavrovsky.
Her performances have always received great acclaim from critics and the public: as her portrayal of Carmen in Alberto Alonso’s "Carmen-Suite" received critical acclaim in Madrid (Spain), her performance of "Swan Lake" in China and Taiwan was described as, "…her movements are light, fluid and graceful, just like a true swan. Her steps flowed like poetry, and her passion and energy traveled straight from her heart to the hearts of the audience." She has appeared on international TV networks, and a 25 minute film entitled "The Dance of Tatiana Berenova", created by Belarus National Television, was aired on CBS in the United States.
To cast light upon Tatiana's success and longevity as a guest artist , classical ballet coach and choreographer in US, her credits are comprised of : The Philadelphia Dance Conservatory (PA) , Minnesota Dance Theater and Institute, Rotaru International Ballet School (GA), Ballet Arizona, Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education, Kirov Academy of Ballet , Festival Ballet Center for Dance Education (RI), Ellison Ballet (NYC) and many more. Ms. Berenova has taught at ballet schools around the US, Japan and Russia. In 2008-2010, she organized an International Summer program for South American dancers in Minneapolis, this program was then reproduced in Los Angeles in 2011 and in New York in 2014.
Tatiana thorough knowledge of the most current teaching methods and styles has produced many dancers who have become laureates of International Ballet Competitions as: Prix de Lausanne, Seoul Ballet Competition, and World Ballet Competition. Berenova's students have been accepted into some of the most prestigious dance programs and companies including the School of American Ballet, Kirov Ballet Academy, Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Arizona Ballet, Susan Farrel Ballet, Saint Francisco Ballet, Caracas National Ballet , Ballet Teresa Carreño, National Opera of Romania, Teatro Municipal de Santiago, Ballet National the Panama, National Opera of Romania, Ballet Nacional Sodre, National Ballet of Portugal.
